Top 10 Galaxy A3 (2017) cases and accessories
5 minute read
The Galaxy A3 (2017) has freshly arrived at giffgaff. If you’re picking up this stylish mid-range phone, then check out our top picks for cases, covers and other accessories!
Part 1: Top Galaxy A3 (2017) cases
1. Olixar ArmourDillo Tough Case - £10

We’ll begin with the ArmourDillo, a tough yet inexpensive case for the Galaxy A3 (2017). Like its namesake animal, the AmourDillo has a ridged back which protects what’s inside from knocks and scratches. The knobbly texture adds considerable grip to prevent a grip in the first place, and even conceals a built-in stand for watching videos and playing games on the go. If protection of your phone is your ultimate aim, the ArmourDillo is a strong choice.
2. Spigen Liquid Air - £20

The Liquid Air is a stylish, modern case for the Galaxy A3. The Air has a lovely triangular texture on the back that adds grip and gives the case its unique look, while cutouts in all the right positions ensure easy access to all of your phone’s features. The Liquid Air gets its name from its lightweight and slim design, and if you’re looking for minimal bulk then it definitely fulfils that criteria.
3. Olixar Genuine Leather Wallet - £25

If you like the look, feel and even smell of real leather, then you’ll appreciate the Genuine Leather Wallet from Olixar. The case includes a couple of slots for important ID or credit cards, while a built-in horizontal stand makes it easy to watch videos while you’re on the bus, train or aeroplane. The case is a little thicker than its fellows, but the real leather construction, practical features and solid protection more than make up for it.
4. Rearth Ringke Fusion Clear Case - £15

The Rearth Ringke Fusion is a clear case that protects your Galaxy A3, without changing its appearance. The polycarbonate and rubber construction provides good protection against drops, knocks and scratches, although it isn’t quite as tough as the ArmourDillo. The clear design even includes a scratch-resistant coating that keeps it looking good for the life of your phone, while a choice of three accent colours allows you to mix it up a little bit. All in all, a solid case.
5. Samsung Neo Flip Wallet - £25

The Neo Flip Wallet is the nicest case that Samsung have ever made. This official case looks stylish with its slim flip cover and modern materials, but it holds a secret: get a notification and the edges of the case will light up with neon LEDs! It’s available in four different shades, each of which will add a flash of colour to your Galaxy A3. It’s a practical case too, with excellent screen protection and a pocket for cash or a credit card inside. There are plenty of worthwhile Galaxy A3 cases on the market, but this one is by far my favourite.
Part 2: Top Galaxy A3 (2017) accessories
6. Samsung Portable Fast Charge Battery Pack 5200mAh - £40

This Samsung fast-charge battery pack comes with a USB-C port, allowing you to rapidly charge your Galaxy A3 (2017) without needing a full-size USB cable. The battery pack has enough juice to fully recharge your smartphone twice over, and uses 15W for extremely rapid charging. Awesome.
7. Motorola Moto 360 Sport Smartwatch - £175

The second-generation Moto 360 Sport was one of the best smartwatches upon its release last year, and now it’s got a new lease of life thanks to the upcoming release of Android Wear 2.0. It’s also seen significant discounts over the past year, making it a strong choice for anyone that wants a fitness-focused smartwatch.
8. Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 Screen Protector - £10

The Galaxy A3 (2017), like many smartphones, has a design dominated by its 4.7-inch screen. That probably means that you need a screen protector to keep it in good condition, free from scratches and smashes. Samsung themselves make a official screen protector for the device, which is a little more expensive than some competitors but you can rely on it fitting the phone perfectly.
9. Lexar 64GB Micro SD card - £30

Want to get more storage on your Galaxy A3? The simplest way is to pick up a micro SD card. There are quite a few available, but I like the one on the left: Lexar’s Class 10 64GB card. If you’d prefer a little more speed at a higher price, then Samsung’s Evo+ Class 1 card might be a good shout.
10. Olixar Multi-length USB-C charging cable - £25

Congratulations – you have a USB-C smartphone! Now it’s time to recycle all of your Micro USB cables, and replace them all with USB-C. This four-pack makes this a very easy process, giving you cables of different lengths to suit different situations. You’ve got a super short 10cm cable for use with a power bank, a long 2m cable for using your phone while it’s charging, and a couple of 1m cables for everything else. Job done.
