Here’s how to make Stickers on Instagram and WhatsApp using nothing but your iPhone. It’s worth noting this method works only for iPhone and will not work on Android.

Follow these simple steps to create your very own Stickers for your Instagram Story.

Step 1: Decide on your Sticker

The first thing you need to create a Sticker is a clear image. This could be a photo from your gallery or a picture found online. Your Sticker doesn’t have to include the whole image: you could choose to feature a single person or item from the larger picture. We’ll show you how to do this later.

Step 2: Head over to Instagram

Open up your Instagram app and tap the plus icon in the bottom middle of your screen. If you’re on your profile, the icon will also appear in the top right. This will start the process of adding a post to your Story. Create your Story as you would normally, ready to add your Sticker.

Step 3: Create a Sticker

Now for the fun bit! Switch back to your photo gallery and find the pic you want to turn into a Sticker.

Press and hold the part of the photo you want to use. The individual section of the photo should light up once it’s selected, giving you the option to ‘Copy’ or ‘Add Sticker’. For creating Stickers for Instagram, it’s the ‘Copy’ option you want.

Step 4: Add the Sticker to your Story

With your Sticker image copied, head back to Instagram where your Story post awaits. To add the Sticker, first select the option to add text to your story. Press and hold until the option to Paste pops up.

Ta-da! There you have it, a personalised Sticker in your Story. Now you can change the size and move it to wherever you like. There’s no limit to how many Stickers you can use in a Story, so go wild!

Step 5: Post your Story

Once you’ve added all your Stickers, that’s it, time to share your post. Your friends will love seeing your new Sticker creations. A little warning from us though; creating Stickers can be addictive.

Step 1: Take a picture

Like with creating Instagram Stickers, the first thing you need to make Stickers for WhatsApp is a picture. Find that photo or image you want to lift your Sticker from and save it safely in your phone’s photo gallery.

Step 2: Create the Sticker

Press and hold the part of the photo you want to turn into a Sticker and select ‘Copy’ when the option pops up.
