giffgaff

At giffgaff we’ve always believed that ‘Together with our members, anything is possible’ and goodybank is the perfect example for that.

We launched goodybank 4 weeks back to support members and communities in need across the UK. The generous contributions made by our members has massively helped to grow this initiative and to reach out more communities each day.

Together with our lovely community we’ve managed to extend support to 2537 members in need.

Donations raised so far

Donations by our members for other members in need £8518. Donations by members to support nationwide communities £5,051.

Take a look at how the donations are bringing the much-needed joy to some local communities.

Rosie May Foundation

Rosie May Foundation supports around 500 people per week. Operating in Nottinghamshire, they have mobilised their resources during the crisis by using Rosie the little Pink TukTuk (usually used for fund-raising and educational events) to deliver fresh food, medicines and most importantly doorstep communication with a dose of good cheer to vulnerable people self-isolating during the lockdown. This programme is volunteer-led and aims to give a sense of self-worth to local people wanting to help during the crisis.

Meet Jill it was her 80th birthday and the volunteers from Rosie May Foundation delivered these rainbow cupcakes to make her lockdown birthday special
Impact of funding
The Rosie May Foundation has benefited from the programme as the funding has enabled us to help our local community in crisis by facilitating a doorstep delivery to vulnerable people during lockdown.Essential items such as fresh food and medicines are proving a lifeline for the elderly in our rural community and we have quickly realised that doorstep communication is just as essential. A friendly chat and a beep beep from Rosie our little Pink Tuk Tuk who is driven by volunteers to do the deliveries, is lifting spirits and bringing a smile to peoples faces.

These are just some glimpses of the positive impact that our community has generated over the course of a few weeks. We will continue to share the stories of progress here. So do keep an eye out.
