Helping people with life-limiting illness
Thank you for supporting Treetops Hospice Care's 'Cake and Care' for vulnerable patients who are currently in isolation. Your support is enabling our nurses to make regular welfare telephone calls and weekly visits with a bag of treats including cake, assessing the patients and mobilising more support if needed. One recipient said: 'I couldn't put into words how delighted I was as I pulled each item out of the bag. It was like being a child on Christmas morning. I was especially delighted with the cake. Thank you so much.'

Thank you firstly for the prompt payment of this grant. It has enabled us to buy essential extra PPE gloves, sanitizers, aprons that we were finding hard to get hold of when stores closed. We are also using some of the funds and for staff safety purposes. We've also purchased a new communal fridge with this fund, enabling us to cook and keep for more for homeless people.

We are writing to acknowledge receipt of your generous gift of £400. Thank you so much for supporting The Well in this way. Your generosity is going to make a tangible difference to the work we do as you can see. In 2019, we supported 10,000 individuals, one third of whom were children, and we expect this to rise again this year. We have already provided a lifeline of basic food and toiletries to some who have no other means of support. Here is the phone message we have already received from one older gentleman who has no support in the crisis:‘I would like to thank you very very much for the food you sent me. I’ve made a lovely stew that will last me a few days. I can’t thank you enough….I’m so thankful to sit down and have a cup of tea, even a bit of toast. Thank you again.
