1. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4: £499 (was £599)

The Galaxy Z Fold4 isn’t the phone I expected to be recommending first. But Samsung’s foldables remain ahead of basically everyone else, and getting one of their tablet-size models for less than £500 (thanks to a refurbished model in good condition and a £100 Black Friday discount) is absolutely outstanding.

Being able to unfold your phone and use a 7.6-inch display feels great, especially as you can fold the phone up again to put it in your pocket. The 6.2-inch cover display is also generously sized and easy to use for quick tasks.

One big advantage of foldables is that you can often use the rear camera for selfies too, and that’s the case here. With a 50-megapixel rear wide-angle lens, plus two additional lenses for telephoto and ultrawide shots, you have an excellent shooter for a wide range of scenarios.

2. Samsung Galaxy S21 5G (refurbished): £199 (was £239)

Samsung’s Galaxy phones are some of the best in the business. So being able to scoop up their 2021-era Galaxy S21 for less than £200, even in refurbished condition, is phenomenal given that buying this phone brand new cost £769 just two years ago.

The S21 hits all the right notes for me, with a roomy 6.2-inch 120Hz display with a tiny hole-punch front-facing camera, an impressive 64-megapixel rear camera that produces some of the best results on the market and a fast 5nm Exynos chipset. That makes for an easy-to-use phone, especially with good battery life and updates to Android 13. At £40 off, and available in grey, pink, violet or white, it’s well worth considering.

3. Google Pixel 7a: £349 (was £449)

The Pixel 7a is a phenomenal phone that boasts one of the best cameras on the market with a 64-megapixel sensor and frequent updates to the latest version of Android. It also comes with its own special Pixel features, like live voice transcription and translation, and a suite of shot-saving camera features.

I’ve hugely enjoyed owning a Pixel 6, and the Pixel 7a is even faster and better. I’m sorely tempted to upgrade, especially at £100 off. Charcoal grey, sea blue and snow white colourways are available.

4. Apple iPhone 15: £779 (was £839)

Apple’s iPhone 15 is a huge step forward versus past iPhones. It boasts a 48-megapixel rear shooter that allows for 2x optical zoom, a more powerful A16 Bionic chipset and a new ‘dynamic island’ design that finally ditches the marmite-y notch at the top of the phone for something more stylish and useful.

The iPhone 15 normally goes for £839, but today you can pick it up with 128 GB of storage for £779 in giffgaff’s sale, with a full range of five colour options to choose from.

5. Motorola Razr 40: £599 (was £799)

The Motorola Razr 40 sees one of the largest Black Friday discounts of all at giffgaff, with this model reduced by a whopping £200 to just £599. That’s still a decent chunk of change, but you get a cool, vertically folding Android phone with a roomy 256 GB of storage and a 4200mAh battery.
